Mercedes

Mercedes had a wonderful puppy career. She completed her Canadian Championship at 8 months of age and before turning a year, won 9 Best Puppy in Groups, 1 Best Puppy in Show, 1 Group First and several group placements.

Mercedes went on to produce lovely puppies in each litter she has had. 

In  2007, Mercedes and Rodeo (Ch. Tumbleweed Valubal Rodeo Drive) and had three puppies.
A female is co-owned with Cathy Muzeen, Winnipeg, Manitoba.  Her name is Ch. Valubal Thanksgiving Day Parade, call name Macy. 
A male, Valubal Open One Us Over, call name Opus, is owned by Angela Hamilton of New York.  Opus is well on his way to his American Championship, always handled by Angela!
In 2009 Mercedes was bred to the very handsome Cooper (Am. Ch. Reflections Catch Me If U Can). This was a beautiful breeding!
Ch. Valubal Little Black Dress "Gabby" is a multiple Best Puppy in Show Winner, Multiple Group Placer and Canadian Champion at 7 months.  Gabby lives with and is co-owned with Lavella Shaw, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  Gabby is currently #2 OES in Canada for 2011, with several group wins and placements so far.
Ch. Valubal Artistic Production "Drama" is also a multiple Best Puppy in Show Winner, Best Puppy in Specialty Winner, Multiple Group Placements and Canadian Champion at 7 months. At Drama's first show and Gabby's second weekend of shows, the girls won Best Puppy in Show on the same day (two separate all-breed shows held at the same venue)! What an exciting day that was!!  Drama now lives in Scotland with Catherine Kennedy and we look forward to her show debut there soon!
In July of 2010, their brother Blake came from Montreal to Saskatchewan for a few shows.  He is co-owned with Matthieu Vincent.   In just 2 weekends, he became CH. Valubal Fitch Blake by winning several groups and group placements.  Blake was the #2 Old English Sheepdog in Canada in 2010 and in July 2011 completed his American Championship.  “Team Blake” consists of Matt and his girlfriend Gaby – they do a great job!
March, 2009 Mercedes moved down the road to live with our wonderful neighbours, Debi and Doug Wonnacott and their Bouviers. She is the princess of the house, and “The Missus” ensures that everything runs her way!
On October 28, 2010 Mercedes and Michael (Ch. Valubal Tumbleweed HIStory) blessed us with 6 beautiful puppies – 3 boys and 3 girls.   We kept a boy who, before turning 9 months of age, has won 2 all-breed Best in Shows, 4 Best Puppy in Shows, 2 Best Puppy in Specialty Shows, multiple group placements, and 11 best puppy in groups.  His name is Multiple BIS BPIS BPISS Ch. Valubal Burn Notice. 
Westen now holds the record is the youngest Old English Sheepdog to have won an all-breed Best in Show.  Can't wait to see what the future holds for this fine young puppy!
