Westen

Westen was a “puppy to be noticed” right from the time he could walk.  He is a very outgoing, confident youngster.  At his first show at 6 months of age, he won 2 best puppy in groups and a group 3.  His next show 6 weeks later, he won 3 best puppy in group, 2 group firsts and an amazing All Breed Best in Show (and of course Best Puppy in Show)!   He finished his Canadian championship in grand style.  Wow – what a great start!

Two weeks later we travelled to Calgary, Alberta where he was shown in 2 all-breed shows, the Old English Sheepdog Fanciers of Alberta specialty and the Old English Sheepdog and Owner’s Club of Canada national specialty.   At the OESFA specialty, Westen was Best of Winners and Best Puppy, at the National specialty he again was Best Puppy in Specialty.  He also won  another all-breed best puppy in group.

The following weekend was another great one for Westen.  He received his SECOND All Breed Best in Show!!!  Unbelieveable!!   He also won 3 more Best Puppy in Shows, 5 puppy groups and multiple group placements.    At this show – one of my “friends” made the following addition to my license plate!

As of September 4, Westen has won 3 All Breed Best in Shows, 12 Best Puppy in Shows, 3 Best Puppy in Specialty Shows, 10 Group Firsts, 23 Best Puppy in Group and multiple group placements!

Westen has carried on the tradition of successful Valubal puppies at nationals.  At the past 4 nationals we attended, Valubal puppies have been awarded Best Puppy in Specialty every time – all breeder/owner handled!
